Cancellation and refund policy

OpenStamps for Furniture · Protosonic OÜ · Estonia · last updated 11 September 2026

Stamp subscriptions are sold self-serve: you choose a plan on the plans page, pay with a card or Revolut Pay on Stripe's pages, and change or cancel it there. There is no order to negotiate and no invoice raised by hand. Physical “returns” do not apply. Stamping without a balance is free and is charged for nothing, so there is nothing on it to refund.

Supplier Workspace is planned and is not available to buy. An interest enquiry creates no subscription or payment. Optional assisted setup requires separately agreed scope, price, invoicing and payment terms before work starts.

1. What is charged, and when

For stamp subscriptions and top-ups, the checkout prices are the prices charged. Nothing is charged unless you have paid yourself through the payment processor's checkout, with a card or Revolut Pay, and nothing is charged for a plan you have not chosen. A subscription renews monthly on the date you started it until you cancel it. A top-up is a single purchase, taken once, at the moment you buy it. Stamp purchases do not use manual invoices or billing on account.

2. What you are paying for

The metered good is the upper edge of a stamp's time bracket — the timestamp token from an independent authority. The lower edge (the public randomness beacon) is free and always available, and checking a stamp is free for anyone, forever, with no account. A stamp made without balance still seals; it is one-sided, and honestly weaker. Nothing you have already stamped stops working if you stop paying.

5. If the relay cannot close a bracket

A closed stamp is drawn from your balance before the relay is called, and put back if that call fails. A stamp that comes out one-sided because the relay could not answer costs you nothing. If a fault on our side draws stamps that produced no timestamp token and the balance was not restored, tell us and we will restore it; that is a correction, not a refund.

6. Cooling-off for consumers

If you lawfully qualify as a consumer under EU distance-selling rules for a specific purchase, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services that have not been fully performed, subject to the exceptions in Directive 2011/83/EU (including where performance began with your prior express consent — drawing closed stamps is performance). Most OpenStamps furniture accounts are business-to-business and fall outside consumer cooling-off.

7. Invoices, receipts and VAT

Every invoice and receipt is in the billing portal in your account, with your VAT number where you have entered one. Prices exclude VAT; the processor adds it at checkout from the country and VAT number you give it. That is the invoice route for stamp purchases.

8. Chargebacks and disputes

Please write to pilot@openstamps.com before starting a payment dispute, so a mis-charge can be corrected directly. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in suspension of the account. Suspension never removes or invalidates records you have already stamped: they are your files and any reader still checks them.

9. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Estonia. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply where you are a consumer.
