Basic chronolocation
Where would the Sun be?
Sun height and direction for a declared place and UTC time, calculated on this device.
This tool is not enabled.
Your declared place and time
The first calculation downloads the Phoenix engine and tables from this site (about 3.1 MB). Your inputs stay here; no location lookup or upload occurs.
Nothing calculated yet.
Calculated geometry
What the calculation leaves out
Geocentric, airless Sun centre; bearings clockwise from true north. No atmospheric refraction, terrain or weather correction. The stamp clock treats UT1 as UTC. Shadow length assumes a vertical object on level ground. Bearings near the zenith or nadir are indeterminate.
This is a calculation from your declared inputs. It does not establish a photo's capture time, place, authenticity or the weather. The download is an unsealed calculation, not a stamp.
